The Rolex Datejust celebrates its 81st year with no signs of diminishing relevance. First introduced in 1945 as the world’s first self-winding, waterproof chronometer wristwatch to feature a date display in a window, it has remained a cornerstone of the Rolex catalogue ever since—quietly integrating the brand’s technical advancements while maintaining its unmistakable identity.
For Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, a year that also commemorates 100 years of the Oyster case, Rolex unveils a new Datejust 41 in white Rolesor with a green lacquer ombré dial (ref. 126334). The result is a pairing that feels both immediate and effortlessly cohesive.

The 41mm Oyster case is crafted from a solid block of Rolex Oystersteel and paired with an 18ct white gold fluted bezel, forming what Rolex refers to as white Rolesor. For context, Rolesor is Rolex’s proprietary term for its two-tone construction, combining “Rolex” and “or,” the French word for gold. In this configuration, the bezel is rendered in white gold, while the case and bracelet remain in Oystersteel, creating a more restrained interpretation of the two-tone aesthetic compared to yellow or Everose versions. Its return feels timely, especially as the Oyster case celebrates its centenary.
The caseback is solid Oystersteel and securely screwed down with fine fluting. The Twinlock winding crown incorporates a double waterproofness system, tightening firmly against the case to ensure water resistance up to 100 metres. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the Cyclops lens magnifies the date at 3 o’clock. The case measures 11.60mm in thickness with a 21mm lug width.

This is where the watch truly secures its place in the 2026 catalogue. The green lacquer ombré dial is a first for Rolex in this execution, achieved entirely through lacquering. A green base layer is first applied, followed by black lacquer sprayed in concentric motions to create a smooth gradient effect.
The result is a rich, deep green at the center that gradually darkens toward the edges, with crisp white dial text that stands out with exceptional clarity. Paired with the 18ct white gold fluted bezel, the contrast is both refined and striking without feeling excessive.
The hour markers are crafted in 18ct white gold and filled with Chromalight luminescence, matching the hour and minute hands for consistent readability in low light. It is a confident, well-resolved dial that comes alive especially in direct light against the fluted bezel.

The Rolex Calibre 3235 powers the Rolex Datejust 41 and is developed entirely in-house by Rolex. This self-winding movement features the patented Chronergy escapement, which enhances energy efficiency while using a paramagnetic nickel-phosphorus pallet fork and escape wheel to resist magnetic interference.
A blue Parachrom hairspring further improves resistance to magnetism and temperature fluctuations, while the overcoil design helps maintain consistent precision across all positions. The oscillator is mounted on Paraflex shock absorbers for added durability. After casing, accuracy is regulated to –2/+2 seconds per day, exceeding COSC standards, and the movement offers an approximate 70-hour power reserve via a Perpetual rotor.
For 2026, Rolex has expanded its Superlative Chronometer certification with three additional criteria—resistance to magnetism, reliability, and sustainability—building on the existing standards for precision, waterproofness, self-winding performance, and power reserve established in 2015. Each watch is delivered with the green seal and a five-year international guarantee.

The Rolex Datejust 41 126334 is fitted on an Oyster bracelet (ref. 72610) crafted in Rolex Oystersteel, featuring polished center links and satin-finished outer links with polished edges.
This three-piece solid-link construction has been a signature of Rolex since the late 1930s and remains one of the most comfortable bracelet designs in modern watchmaking. The folding Oysterclasp incorporates the Easylink comfort extension system, allowing for approximately 5mm of on-the-fly adjustment without the need for tools.

The Rolex Datejust 41 126334 with its green lacquer ombré dial stands out as one of the more refined and thoughtfully executed releases from Rolex in recent years. The dial itself is strikingly executed, while the 18ct white gold fluted bezel provides a perfectly balanced frame. The white Rolesor construction ensures the design remains elegant and restrained rather than overtly flashy.
As a first for Rolex in this lacquer ombré execution, the green dial feels especially well matched to the case proportions and overall aesthetic. Marking 100 years of the Oyster case, this release reflects Rolex at its best—taking a proven formula and refining it into a precise new expression.
The Rolex Datejust 41 126334 is priced at approximately SGD 15,700. For more information, please visit the official Rolex website.
