Creating a highly complicated wristwatch is the forte of the Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre, and what better way to prove it than doing just that. Enter the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 184, a watch that combines not one or two but three elite-level complications in one watch.
Master Hybris Artistica is made in 18k pink gold while a white gold version is also available. It is sized at 43mm x 14.1mm and’s made from 80 separate components and features brushed, polished, and micro-blasted surfaces. The case is water-resistant up to 50 meters and sapphire crystals are fitted to the dial side and the screw-on caseback. The sides of the case feature decorative plates with a linear geometric pattern in black lacquer.
When it comes to the dial, the center is made from transparent smoked sapphire. The edges of the dial feature a geometric pattern in black Grand Feu enamel. Applied gold indices mark the hours. The dial is divided into two sections: the upper part displays the time and calendar, while the lower part showcases the bi-axial Gyrotourbillon and minute repeater.

The manual-wind Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 184 movement offers a bi-axial Gyrotourbillon, perpetual calendar, and a minute repeater with Westminster Chime. Along with a dead-beat minute hand and one-minute constant force mechanism, the movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 50-hour power reserve.
The watch features a black alligator leather strap with a large-scale pattern, secured by an 18k gold deployant folding clasp. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 184 is limited to five pieces per metal and priced at $995,000.
